As a fellowship-trained physician in interventional spine and sports medicine, Justin Waltrous, MD, is highly skilled in diagnosing and treating a variety of injuries and conditions. At MSSMI, Dr. Waltrous focuses on individual care plans for his patients, with a special interest in assisting amateur and professional athletes. Dr. Waltrous earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and continued to his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the prestigious Rutgers/Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Newark, New Jersey, consistently ranked No. 2 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. Dr. Waltrous followed his residency with fellowship training in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at Orthopaedic Spine and Specialists in York, Pennsylvania, under the direction of Dr. Michael Furman, an internationally renowned leader in nonoperative spine care. Dr. Waltrous is dual board certified in PM&R and Sports Medicine.
